Meet The Workshop Presenters

  • Lisa Clavier - Kiersten's Ride

    Lisa Clavier is a founder and President of Kiersten’s Ride, a non-profit for suicide prevention in Northern Lower Michigan. Lisa serves as Co-Chair of the Charlevoix/Emmet County Suicide Prevention Coalition.

    Clavier provides direct outreach and facilitates Survivors of a Suicide Loss support group and empowers community members to help save lives through education.

    Lisa is the Director of the Child Abuse Prevention and Education Council for Antrim, Charlevoix and Emmet Counties; with a mission to help create happy, healthy homes for children to grow up in, by strengthening families through prevention, connections, and resiliency.

    Lisa is a certified facilitator of HOPE (Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences), Strengthening Families-Bringing the Protective Factors Framework to Life, Yellow Ribbon presentation, SafeTALK (Suicide alertness for everyone) training and ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training). She is also a certified Instructor, to train others as safeTALK Trainers.

    Along with being a wife, mother and Nana, helping community members realize that they are worthy of asking for and receiving help, is Lisa’s passion.

    Kiersten’s Ride is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing help, hope, and healing through suicide prevention programs in Northern Lower Michigan. We are committed to raising awareness and providing education and support in our community, to save lives.

    At the workshop, we will chat about ways our friends might let us know they need support. What might be helpful or not helpful to say. We will also share what we can do to connect to resources.

  • Meagan Krzywosinski - Inspiring Inner Growth LLC

    Meagan is the founder of Inspiring Inner Growth, a cozy studio located Petoskey, Mi., a practicing Human Resource Professional with double-digit years of HR experience and holds her 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher Certification along with being a Social & Emotional Intelligence Certified Coach and Reiki Master.

    Meagan will be offering Gentle Yoga infused with mindfulness and inspiration to live a simple, sustainable and nourished life.

    Meagan will also be offering a Soothing Sound Bath to relax and recalculate the nervous system.

  • Kathy Snyder - Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition

    Kathy Snyder is the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition Director and a doctoral student focusing on Community Leadership. In addition to over 25 years of experience in education, she holds master’s degrees in both counseling and applied positive psychology. Kathy has certifications in resilience, change, diversity and inclusion, psychological safety, coaching, and PERMAH Survey administration. She is also a co-creator and teacher of two Wellbeing Lab programs and is an assistant instructor at the University of Pennsylvania. Kathy is a member of the ROCK Center for Youth Development board, MAPP Alumni Association board, Midland Community Success Panel, Midland County Mental Health Coalition, Midland Cultural Awareness Coalition, and the Great Lakes Bay Region Suicide Prevention Coalition. Kathy and her husband Mike have been married for 31 years and are proud parents of two wonderful humans: Haylee and Cayden. No matter the season, the Snyder family loves outdoor adventures!

  • Angela Linsenman - Aleda E. Lutz VAMC

    Angela Linsenman is a Licensed Master Social Worker at the Aleda E. Lutz VAMC in the Community Based Outreach Clinic located in Gaylord Michigan.

    Angela graduated from Michigan State University and supported women, children and families in her community for over a decade prior to re-discovering her passion for supporting veterans and their loved ones. Angela has had the privilege of serving active-duty military and veterans while working at a United States Naval base in her young adulthood.

    Her current role, Community Engagement and Partnership Coordinator allows her to fulfill her passion of working with communities to address suicide prevention for veterans. Supporting, empowering, and connecting veterans who live, play, and thrive in beautiful northern Lower Michigan is her top priority.

    Additionally, Angela is a Certified Zentangle Art instructor and enjoys sharing the 8-step method of Zentangle to everyone who enjoys putting pen to paper. Angela enjoys walking, swimming, and looking for Petoskey stones.

  • Karen Wright and Kecia Freed - Pause Breathe Proceed

    We will take you on the journey from awareness, to understanding, and finally making the changes in your life to reclaim your free will and find love for yourself and others. The journey is at your pace and will change you from the inside out!

    Karen Wright, Kecia Freed, and Michelle Cortright crafted this solution because all change starts with a pause and a breath and the world needs change!
